Hypocrisy and Expectations from youth

So much fuss over Delhi gang rape in every section of society. protest from youth , outcry from politicians , display of antipathy by government institutes and above all "commercialization" of heinous rape case by certain section of media.

Many mind boggling questions arises with recent protest by Indian metropolitan youth, I am very sincere about asking certain questions which i can never ask to any body due to multi-dimentional aspect.

1. We talks much about "women rights and equality" but the same "we" reject their rights in public transport (DTC and Metro).. Why??
2. We usually protest a separate queue for women. Why??
3. In recent case we are much sympathetic towards top crime on women such as "rape" but we usually fall in same line at home, work place or at community center.. why?
4. Are we protesting for justice for "delhi" rape case victim OR we are protesting against "women violence" at every section of society..??
5. Certain section of youth endorses gujrat's CM as next PM of republic India.. so are we really know what we are demands. He himself is charger with serious HR cases..
6. Why we are much apathetic and tolerant towards women atrocities irrespective of caste,status,race,region, religion of community. Cant we use single yardstick for all cases.

But the good about recent protest is that it is much awaited "first" step of Indian youth for a social change, would be tough and challenging for us to change deep routed patriarchal hegemonic mind set of Indians. Question & criticisms are necessary so that we can correct existing social anamolies and to strives for betterment of every social aspect which impact us either directly or indirectly.

Delhi Rape Case- Tradition vs Rights

Sunday's rape case probably galvanized all educated section of Indian society irrespective of the diversity. Certainly "Demand" are always welcome in democracy but we need to understand working of governance and should not understand the tools of democracy for better governance.

 While educated youth have every right and govt officials have every responsibility for safety of human being but certainly media plays the biggest role in exposing inflexible governance in meeting demands of Indian citizen. Our media is much apathetic towards their social role, even in this case rather than work like a pressure group they work like an entertainment industry sell the goods. Media should be an arbitrator which pressurize "feudal mindset" either in governance or in society. but i don't see exertion of any pressure from media as live telecast or a blame came is not a pressure tactic.

We talk much about "female atrocities" but analyses its genesis. We itself need to set very high standard to overcome such feudal mindset. We talk about "Right of equality irrespective of gender" but are we(esp. male) ready to sacrifice or share certain privilege with a women either at home,office of college?? We need to question ourself. These same guys opposes women right at delhi metro or in reserved seat in DTC buses or a at seperate queue for women but become very sensitive when other cases. Sensitivity is good for society but we need to come which a long term permanent solution for uplifment and actual welfare of  historical inferior second half.

Indian masterpiece

Indian constitution is most beautifully crafted literature. This beautiful literature came from analyzing all written and not-written constitutions of world and edited with the brilliance. A well crafted to suit the majority and minority of people of India and such a progressive one that even after 65 years it is rate top with the rest.

It provide much flexibility and gave much deterrence towards any unholy act. In 1976, govt tried to change its philosophy to suit itself but the same literature gave an interpretation which leads to the doctrine of basic structure. 

Same is happening again with president as well as prime minister candidature but this master piece is a big road blocker in front of them.Our constitution did not have any provision of direct election of either head of government or head of country. both are elected indirectly thus gave primacy to "consensus" more than mere popularity of individual. So it is more than a idealistic book rather i visualizes a prosperous and integrated diverse india.

India and Unquestionable Individuals

It is always said in every sphere of life that "Never make person bigger than any institution and Reject Person Worship(Demigod) ". Same was warned by Dr. Ambedkar while he was addressing constitutional assembly regarding threats to the future Indian democracy.

What a visionary he was, Ahead of his time in visualizing thing. In Contemporary India we are suffering from same disease as described by him in almost every sphere of life. People will start questioning your intentions if you starts questioning their so called "DemiGod" no matter how much atrocious and unethical they are. Skipping to give  examples for same but you can easily find out these demigod whom you can not question even for their well know wrong deeds.

Diversity vis-a-vis Accoutability

India has issues of its own kind, A severely divided society on each and every issue which also became an obstacle in Indian nationalism. Highly diverse India in respect of language, sex,religion,caste,region and urban-poor divide(and famously India Vs Bharat ) causes multiple yardsticks for all socio-politico-religious issue.

Accountability and Transparency(AT) is an integral part of this modern world governance as well as all socio-economic projects and directly or indirectly impacts common citizens. AT is a single universal tool which should be present in every organization and every DM.

A famous quote of US "Don't ask what US can do for you rather ask what you can do for US" whereas in India condition is contrary.We have created several demigod like character who are above the parameters of AT. These demigods are above law and can't be questioned by majority and this creates problem.

We desperately need to analyse things only in black and white and never in grey. If we need to compete likes of BR(I)CS and others then we should change the way we think i.e., analyzing subjects in total rationality rather as per diversity. Future is still bright as atleast we are discussing such issues in public and hailing RTE we will soon be in position to rise above disability and will resolve issues with a single voice.

Westernization of Internet

ICANN's recently announced policy of auctioning of generic domain names is purely capitalistic in nature and aiming towards generating revenue and will ultimately best favored to corporate by buying these generic domain names in advance. ICANN is a global regulator and its responsibilities 

lies with equitable use of generic words by developed & developing contries and policy should not discourage between rich and poor in using such domain name.

By auction policy icann not only promoting a divide between rich and poor , developed and developing and even it puts the next generation in disadvantage position. Since these generic words do not have any border distinction so need not to be given any exclusive rights to any one rather should be used by all corporate as .beauty or .book would be more usefull for users to easily segregate/search products rather than to any corporate.Since these generic words are not any invention or any innovative work of any corporate so a concept of patent also does not exists here.

Icann need to be careful before finalizing to allot such a major change and even if icann finalizes this auction process this need not to be permanent in nature that is contract need to be of certain time only and should be re-auctioned again so that those who were in disadvantage position in past may again get chance to get them.
